What should I know about The River House?
We are located in Condon, Montana on 20 acres with The Swan River & Glacier Creek flowing on the property. The location has the Swan Mountains to the east & Mission Mountains to the west.
How many guests can we have?
We can accommodate up to 120 people
How far in advance should I book my wedding venue?
To guarantee your desired date 12-16 months is advisable.
What types of buildings are available?
We have three renovated log buildings from the 1920's, a renovated shop and three 20x40 wedding tents.
Can we have a rehearsal or rehersal dinner at the venue?
If your rehearsal and/or rehearsal dinner falls within the agreed upon rented timeframe, you can have your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
Is there a payment plan?
As stated on our contract, we require a nonrefundable 25% down at booking, 50% 6 months before the wedding date and the remaining 25% 2 months before the wedding.
What is included in the rental fee?
All our packages include the entire venue, accommodations up to 22 people utilizing 3 buildings and a renovated airstream. We also include three wedding tents, stage, speakers, lighting, coffee urns, water carafes, some linens, and other decor.​
Are there any vendor restrictions?
No restrictions on vendors, we just require they carry insurance.
Can we customize the venue for our wedding theme?
We offer a base level of decoration as most of the buildings have Turkish carpets, chandeliers and Montana art. You can bring your own decorations to customize the look and ambience.
What are the venue's policies alcohol?
You are responsible for your own drinks including alcohol. We require a bartender and that your insurance policy includes an alcohol provision.
Can we bring dogs?
The bride and groom can bring their dogs to be part of the ceremony.
Please pick up after your pets.
Wedding guests are not permitted to bring dogs under any circumstances
Are there any additional costs we should be aware of?
We rent 8 ft tables for $12/each and chairs for $2/each. You are responsible for your own food, drinks, and dinnerware. You are also required to provide porta potties or a mobile restroom, the restrooms inside the house and gathering space are only available to the wedding party, they are not available to wedding guests. We require a $500.00 damage deposit, 30 days before your wedding to be returned w/o incidents, 2 weeks after the wedding. We also require you to purchase event insurance for the entire time you are renting the venue.
Is parking available for guests?
We can accommodate parking for 50 cars. This is strictly enforced and non-negotiable. If you require additional parking, please call the Swan Valley Community Center, located at the highway and walkable to the venue, or reach out to a bus company or chauffeur company that can bus people to the venue from Bigfork, MT (40 min drive) or Seeley Lake, MT (25 min drive).
