Contrasts have long been used in art and design to create interest. Think of leather and lace or lanterns draped with light and baby's breath. These juxtaposition of opposing elements creates visual interest and draws attention to a focal point. Contrasts also bring about depth, it adds interest to the view and photograph. The way we bring opposites into our venue creates a romantic storyline to express the uniqueness of your relationship. The complexity yet richness of your story can be represented with an elegant and wild stroke. So the views of Paris can be duplicated in the wilds of Montana by using beauty and contrast.

Seeing a beautiful bride walking in the forest invokes all the senses. The elegance of the bride will stand out even more in the rawness of the natural world of mountains and meadows. Finding a dress reminiscent of Paris might be one with sophistication or delicate fabrics with intricate lacework. Looking at Pinterest you can find many ideas. But anytime a bride feels romantic and beautiful they are an embodiment of what Paris stands for. So bringing together your version of an enchanting dress can set the stage for your unique wedding from the streets of Paris to the forests of Swan Valley in Condon, Montana.

Having outstanding architecture of any era is a great backdrop, whether you are in Paris or on a 100 year old homestead in Montana. Buildings from the past bring depth and authenticity that new builds often lack. Standing the test of time is symbolic by old buildings and mountains that are millions of years old, adding to the beautiful fabric of your wedding. Combining flowers and lighting to the spaces creates romantic, fairytale like settings. Soft pastels like blush, cream or lavender conjure up a time of long ago and touches of golden light speaks of love everlasting.

The flowers you chose to adorn your wedding celebration can create elegance. Classics like hydrangeas, peonies or roses speak of timeless romances. Bringing greenery like eucalyptus or lavender produce a fresh and relaxing scent and mixes with the natural beauty of an outdoor wedding venue. Combining elegance and natural decor brings about that contrast of uniqueness and artistry.
Other ways to bring Paris into Montana is through your choice of invitations. Using vintage inspired designs or elegant writing styles will set the mood. Using French motifs or phrases can also set the desired background.
One of the best ways to bring Paris into your wedding is through food. Having coq au vin or ratatouille with crusty baguettes comes right from a Paris cafe. The desserts are where you can really leave your mark with macarons, eclairs and maybe a croquembouche. Offering French wines will just touch off your celebration. At the River House we have a selection of vintage glasses and dinnerware, see more at https://www.riverhousemontana.com/the-venu

Decor can continue to present a Parisian wedding. Having European chandeliers in an old log building creates a soft elegant light. Using candelabras and ornate mirrors offers a soft elegant ambiance. At The River House we have many of these items already in the decor. We might not have old church bells in a tower but we have a huge iron wind chime that resonates over the trees.
For entertainment bringing in a string quartet or jazz band will continue the romantic vibe. A stage can be used or one of the many spaces that a venue has to offer. The music you decide to use will create the experience you desire. By blending different elements into your wedding you can make that dream into a real experience for you, your partner and your guests.

In Paris they have the love lock bridge at The River House we have the love lock gate! The tradition is for couples to write their names on a lock, attaching it to the bridge and throwing the key into the Seine River. At The River House you attach the lock onto a gate and take the key with you as another memory of your love for each other.
History of the love lock bridge comes from a film in 2006 named "Ho Voglio di Te"( I want you) which first came into the theaters in Italy. In the movie a scene showed two lovers who write their name on a lock and attach it to Ponte Milvo. This tradition caught on in Paris and because it's by the Louvre it made it convenient for people.
At The River House we understand the importance of symbolism. We encourage our couples to create and connect with their love for each other. So if your love is best created through romance and traditions from Paris, we have the old buildings, chandeliers, love gate and beauty to help you do that. We are also Parisian enough to let you bring your dog and we have bidets!
