Condon, Montana is in the Swan Valley which sits between the Bob Marshall and Mission wilderness. This valley has long attracted couples to have their wedding ceremony and celebration there. The reasons why Condon, Montana is a perfect wedding site are many. First Condon sits between Missoula and Kalispell, Montana, so it's convenient to both towns and their airports. The distance away from the cities takes you away from the urban areas into your own national park. The mountain vistas and forests take one into a personal fairytale. The valley offers amazing views along with the privacy to bring your family and friends into your celebrations which often include a long weekend.

The benefits of being in forests and around rivers are well documented. Studies show that being in trees reduces cortisol which is a stress hormone, helping people to feel more relaxed which then increases dopamine and endorphin levels creating more happiness in people. So even though getting married has a lot of joy there can often be stress. Having your ceremony outside in the forest will help everyone relax and feel more happiness. Not only will the couple feel better but your guests will also thank you!

When you are around a river you again have less cortisol and you have an increase of serotonin which is a happy chemical in our brain. An increase of oxytocin also occurs when around a river and that is a neurotransmitter that helps us bond to other people and have a sense of peace. The Blue Mind ,or Blue Water Effect , is the notion that being by water can improve physical and mental well being. It's characterized by a state of peace, calm, and unity. So when a wedding venue such as The River House is nestled between two mountain ranges and sits on the banks of The Swan River and Glacier Creek you have a recipe for a wedding that has less stress, more joy, enhanced connection to others and an overall increase in a sense of well being!

Getting married in the Swan Mountains also give the opportunities for amazing day hikes. Some of the most popular hikes would include Holland Lake Falls which is 3.1 miles, Glacier Creek Trail which is 3.3 miles and Clearwater Lake Trail which is .7 miles. There are numerous lakes, creeks and the Swan River for fishing. In fact at The River House you can fish almost out your back door. So we are really talking about a wedding celebration that goes way beyond your traditional activities, The River House is an experience!

Going to a non- inclusive wedding venue gives couples the freedom to create the celebration they want. Booking with a venue that allows you to hire your choice of vendors opens the door to a blank canvas allowing you to customize your wedding. Using local vendors not only brings money to the community but it brings your artistic touch to the celebration you want. This starts with your choice of food to choice of drinks to how you decorate your spaces.

Photos with mountain peaks in the background creates a stirring within many people. They elicit visions of awe, serenity and adventure. Those would be some adjectives that would describe a meaningful marriage. To be in awe of your partner is an amazing way of letting them know what a wonderful person they are. So wonderful that you want to be spend the rest of your life with them. Serenity, to have that in the presence of your spouse offers each other the refuge and security we need in a sometimes difficult world. Finally adventure, the excitement of creating a life with someone and the path you will both take together. Photographs can be taken with the gorgeous golden light we get and often the alpenglow that backdrops our venue.
