Glacier National Park
With its peaked mountains, clear lakes, and varied wildlife, Glacier National Park offers many beautiful spots for engagement photos. Here are some of the more typical spots:

As one of the largest natural freshwater lakes in the western United States, Flathead Lake provides a beautiful background for it's clear blue waters and surrounding mountains often look surreal.

Yellowstone Park

Famous for its geysers, hot springs, and mudpots, Yellowstone offers a surreal and mystical backdrop for photos.
Ample Wildlife:
The park is home to diverse wildlife, including bison, elk, and wolves, which can add an element of adventure and natural beauty to the photos. Please do not get too close to any wildlife as they are unpredictable and can be dangerous when scared or provoked!

Red Lodge
A mountain town with lots of charm situated in the Beartooth Mountains. There are several trails in The Custer-Gallatin Forest which is directly outside of Red Lodge, MT. The famous Beartooth Hwy. travels high into the sky for summertime snow and skiing opportunities not to mention photo ops! "The Beartooth Highway, nicknamed the “Highway to the Sky” and named an All-American Highway, is a segment of U.S. Route 212 that connects Yellowstone National Park to Red Lodge, Montana. The 69-mile highway winds and climbs to more than 10,000 feet above sea level to reach Beartooth Pass. The road passes through alpine forest and arctic tundra, is full of sheer drop-offs, and delivers constant views of lakes and 12,000-foot peaks. The descent carries the highway into the state of Wyoming before returning to Montana to reach Cooke City and the northeast entrance of Yellowstone." (Roadtrippers) The Beartooth Hwy. is usually opened from Memorial day to early October, always check road conditions.

Nye
Nye is a small town in the Beartooth Mountains with gorgeous views and The Stillwater River, it is southwest of Columbus, Montana. The surrounding Beartooth Mountains are a portion of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness which is located on the Custer-Gallatin and Shoshone National Forests. This area offers a variety of wilderness experiences of particular notice is Woodbine Waterfalls and the Stillwater Trail which takes you through the Gorge, to Sioux Charlie and another 30 miles into Yellowstone Park.
Flathead National Forest
This forest contains many trails, lakes, and scenic overlooks that offer a serene and romantic atmosphere for your engagement photos. Tips for Capturing the Perfect Engagement Photos
Decide what vibe your going for and the correlated lighting, such as the Golden Hour. The choose the right time of day for.
Decide which season best reflects you both and the ambience you're looking for.
Find the natural elements or that reflect your relationship such as glacial peaks, a river or the forest
Work with a local photographer who knows the best areas and angles.
Always be aware of the weather reports and road conditions. If your hiking in the summer bring bug spray, water and the correct clothing.
Bring bear spray, most of these areas have grizzly & black bears, mountain lions, elk and moose.
