All ages are welcome and kids 6 and under enter free (Must RSVP with your purchase of GA ticket) It's held at Big Mountain Ranch in Whitefish, MT, a short drive from Glacier National Park. The festival focuses on Americana, folk, alt-country, and rock. This year there are 38 bands spaning over 3 days. Besides the music, you can enjoy rodeo events, a petting zoo, local food vendors, craft beers, and artisan markets. There's often a "Merch Barn" for souvenirs.
You'll need to scan your tickets each day. VIP tickets offer perks like dedicated areas, bars, and upgraded restrooms (and are strictly 21+). Children 6 and under are free but need to be RSVP'd. It's good to know the rules ahead of time to keep things simple.
What to Bring (and not to bring):
Allowed: Cell phones, bug spray (aerosol 6oz or less), non-professional cameras, medium backpacks/purses (18x13x8 or smaller), blankets/towels, low-back chairs, sunscreen (4oz lotion or 6oz aerosol), chapstick, lipstick, eyedrops, makeup, empty 32oz (or less) reusable water bottles (there are free refill stations), GoPros (without sticks), sunglasses, mints.
Prohibited: Guns, pets, cigarettes (e-cigs okay), lighters, all other aerosols, RVs on-site (unless in designated RV parking), totems, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, large backpacks, glass bottles, outside food/drink (no re-entry, so pack what you can carry for the day), weapons, laser pointers, selfie sticks, audio recording devices, professional cameras, drones, umbrellas (parasols okay), chalk/markers/sharpies, chains/chain wallets, gum, stickers/flyers/solicitations, cleated shoes, clothing promoting drugs/gangs.
Transportation: Free shuttles are typically available from 11 AM to midnight each day. Parking is complimentary, but overnight parking for RVs is prohibited. Consider a designated driver or shuttle if you plan to drink, as ride-sharing services like Uber can be unreliable from the venue.
Amenities: Look for ADA entrances and viewing locations, first aid stations, lost and found, showers, bathrooms, and a general store.
Food & Drink: Expect plenty of food and drink vendors on-site. Prices can be high, and no outside food or drink is allowed.
