Couples who get married at The River House, riverhousemontana.com, outside of Kalispell, Montana, love nature, so they are often fascinated with lunar eclipses. For engaged couples spellbound with the cosmos they might look to find the next lunar eclipse and plan their honeymoon around it.

"There’s a 6-minute total solar eclipse in 2027 — one of the longest and most significant eclipses of the 21st century. It will take place on Monday, Aug. 2, 2027, in 10 countries, but aside from a small partial solar eclipse in Newfoundland, Canada, it won’t be visible from North America. Whether the length of totality is critical is arguable, but there’s no doubt that the 2027 total solar eclipse will be an epic experience." (https://www.forbes.com/sites/jamiecartereurope/2025/07/15/how-to-see-the-epic-6-minute-total-solar-eclipse-in-2027/)
When a total solar eclipse occurs it's when the moon passes directly between Earth and the Sun, fully covering the sun’s disk for observers within a narrow path of totality. On Aug. 2, 2027, that path will be about 160 miles wide and pass through three continents. The continents include the North Atlantic Ocean and Southern Europe. The first place is a totally eclipsed sunrise in the ocean, then the moon’s central shadow will first touch land in Costa de la Luz (Coast of the Light) in Spain’s Andalusia region and then in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The eclipse reaches southern Spain, then hits Morocco, followed by Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt. It’s in Egypt that it reaches its longest duration at 6 minutes 22 seconds. The edge of the path also hits the northeastern corner of Sudan.

"Tarifa (Spanish pronunciation: [taˈɾifa]) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Cádiz, Andalusia. Located at the southernmost end of the Iberian Peninsula, it is primarily known as one of the world's most popular destinations for windsports. Tarifa lies on the Costa de la Luz ("coast of light") and across the Strait of Gibraltar facing Morocco." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarifa)
Tarifa is a popular spot for northern Europeans to spend their summers. Tarifa's unique wind conditions have made the beaches at Playa de Los Lances, Valdevaqueros and Punta Paloma the most popular in Europe with windsurfers and kitesurfers.
"With the African coast just 14 kms away, Tarifa has long been a fascinating cultural melting pot. Admire the Puerta de Jerez, part of the medieval walls which once fortified the town, and pop into the the well-maintained Castle of Guzmán el Bueno. The Roman-era ruins of the village of Baelo Claudia are striking, as is the Gothic Church of San Mateo if you’re interested in heritage landmarks. Strolling through town, you’ll also spot restored residences with white-painted façades, pretty arches and courtyards, and interiors brimming with North African textiles."(https://www.thehotelguru.com/en-us/best-hotels-in/spain/tarifa)
