Who says Montana weddings can't last all weekend?

How many times have you gone somewhere and you were just starting to relax when you had to leave? Often we don't allow ourselves to optimize our experiences. Rushing through life decreases the impact wonderful events can have on us. Not wanting to leave is an indication your needs are getting met in many ways.

Here at The River House Wedding & Event Venue we understand why our couples don't want to leave! Located between Missoula and Kalispell, Montana we might possibly be the prettiest place in the state. Situated between the Swan and Mission Mountains our valley is breathtaking. So it's not surprising when wedding couples and guests come to our wedding venue and realize one day is not enough!

The most obvious reason to have a long wedding celebration is to keep the joy going. Marrying your person, the one who stirs your soul and heart is such a riveting experience it calls for more than a 5 hour event. Who you marry is one of the most important decisions you'll ever make and it is one to be savored and enjoyed. Allowing you and your partner to stop the world for just a few days and immerse yourself in your love is the ultimate gift to yourselves. There are times when we want to live in the light of love and happiness for just a little longer.

Having the wedding celebration over a few days gives you the opportunity to celebrate your love in many ways. There is The Day with the wedding ceremony and reception which of course is the star. But the day or days leading up to the wedding amplifies the wonderful feeling of anticipation. Having you and those closest arrive at your venue a few days ahead of the wedding allows for so many opportunities for fun and relaxation. What does fun look like to you? Fun can include so many options. Is it hiking or floating down a lazy river or hanging out in beautiful old log buildings with those you love? All those options and more can be experienced at The River House. Just having time to fill the days before your wedding creates more of an experience not just a moment. More time to create memories with your partner, friends and family.

Having a day or two after the wedding allows for recuperation and release from the big day. Weddings are awesome but they can come with some stress. To allow yourself and family-friends to have just another day to soak it all up will let you feeling revitalized! Soak up all the emotions and experiences, allowing them to imprint onto your brain before the next phase begins. Often couples are delaying their honeymoon, so giving yourself a day or two after the wedding helps to extend that feeling of romance and bliss just a little longer.

Another reason for a multiple day of celebration is the chance to put your mark on your wedding venue. Here at The River House we have a beautiful backdrop of mountains, rivers and forest with our buildings emanating the authenticity of hand hewn logs. Buildings and a homestead that have withstood the span of over a 100 years. Inside the log buildings are modern conveniences with chandeliers and Turkish carpets. You are free to add to any of the structures and tents or just relax in the rustic elegance of what's already there.

Time, time is something that's beyond measure. Having time to do whatever? After the rush and craziness of wedding planning it's time to savor and resonate with the turn your life is taking. Whether you want to recreate or relax we have it all. At The River House we have fishing out the back door or places like Holland Lake for swimming and boating just down the road.

Allowing yourself to sit in the forest by the rushing waters, or stare at the blue skies or star filled skies and then to soak in our hot tub built for 10, will all help you to feel more relaxed and mindful come your big day. A day of recreating with family-friends can then end with stares to the sky around a bonfire.

The River House can accommodate upto 24 people and there's close vacation rentals down the road. We even have capacity for some experienced campers in our forest parking lots. Hi Talula Mesa Glamping,

You have a beautiful place too, it's great to see a similar venue. We will be putting up Wall Tents also, you've done a great job decorating them. Glamping has been in our vision for quite awhile. Thanks so much for connecting us, so glad you found The River House on weddingvenueowneres.com it's been a great resource. I'd enjoy having more of a conversation with you.

Thank you,

Donna
